"Don't let today's disappointments cast a shadow on tomorrow's dreams."
Yesterday the doctor told me I would be unable to perform my role at all. That really broke me, I've poured everything I have into this part. I cried and called my director letting her know, but once the shock wore off I realized I could not take this laying down. I wasn't done fighting. I'm seeing another doctor today for a second opinion. My director was wonderful, telling me to keep my chin up and be happy. And so I decided, I will be.

First Quote!
Okay all: This is the first quote of the day.
"Wherever God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window"
This quote is really important to me right now. I've been lucky enough to play the role of Lisa in a very intense play called The Glory of Living. I was injured during rehearsal last friday night and I was told I would be unable to continue with the role...we open tonight. Tonight my understudy will perform, but I go back to the doctor today and hopefully I'll get the clearing to perform the remainder of the performances. I need to stay positive, hopeful, and remind myself of this quote. Because everything happens for a reason, and things always work out the way they need to in the end. That reminds me of another quote:
"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."

A Quote A Day
I've always loved quotes. I love finding ones that I feel like speak to me, inspire me, or motivate me to keep going and that everything will be okay. It shows me that at some point, someone somewhere felt something similar to what I feel. So this blog will be exactly that "A Quote A Day-" and hopefully a little more.
